Golden Touch Enrichment Academy is a minority-woman owned business offering accredited education for Cosmetology/Barber licensing to men and women of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. Established in 2008 in Austin, Texas, the academy has served the Travis County community with remarkable success, receiving over 2,150 potential applications from 2006 to 2008 and achieving a 100% licensing rate by enrolling over 50% of the applicants.
What Excites Us: We are thrilled to have obtained 501(c)(3) status in March 2005. One of our proudest accomplishments is providing Apprentice course training to 250 inmates at Del Valle prison, contributing to their enrichment and transformation.
Our Mission: At the Golden Touch Enrichment Academy, our mission is to offer accredited education and enrich the lives of individuals facing challenging circumstances in society. Through a structured Cosmetology curriculum and life skill training programs, we aim to empower and uplift our students.
As a community enrichment program, our primary focus is to serve underprivileged individuals, including dropouts and past jail offenders. Our goal is to equip them with essential skills and training to become productive and valuable members of society.
Our Vision: We envision assisting community members facing difficulties by providing them with the necessary skills and training to enrich and turn their lives around. Our academy is dedicated to being a community-based enrichment program that fosters confidence and productivity, enabling individuals to reintegrate into mainstream society.

Dr. Friday, is a licensed educator, Trichologist, and instructor with over 38 years of industry experience. As a native of Austin, Texas, she has been adding her unique vision of beauty and style to the local community, helping individuals look and feel their best through her outstanding talents in the beauty industry.
Dr. Friday is a trailblazer in cosmetology, as the founder, owner, and lead stylist of Golden Touch Enrichment Academy. Her transformative work has empowered aspiring cosmetologists and barbers, and beauty professionals from all backgrounds, opening up new opportunities for growth and success in Austin and Dallas, with current expansions across the globe.
Dr. Friday is excited to introduce specialty courses to her academy, representing the culmination of her life’s work. Scott Julian is a prominent figure in the beauty industry, aligning himself with prestigious pioneers like Vidal Sassoon and Paul Mitchell. He earned the Top Hollywood Fashion/Stylist Award at the 23rd Annual Grammy Awards and owns a successful chain of salons.
Not content with his already remarkable achievements, Scott Julian LLC is embarking on a new venture. The company is launching patented hair products, professional tools, and establishing the all-encompassing Scott Julion Hollywood Image Academy. Meet Curnedra Williams-Sims, A Beauty Industry Enthusiast Who Discovered Her Passion For Skincare And Makeup. In 2004, She Became A Licensed Esthetician After Completing Her Studies At The Paul Mitchell Academy In Austin, TX.
Curnedra Is The Proud Founder Of Hadarah Artistry, Her Own Skincare Line. Her Main Focus Is To Deliver Amazing Results To Her Clients, Offering Services Such As Ion Foot Detoxing, V-Steam/Yoni Facials, Hair Removal, And Spa Packages. Seeing Her Clients’ Skin Improve And Witnessing Their Newfound Confidence Brings Her The Greatest Joy.
Meet Dalwonderla, Ms. “Dee” Morgan, a highly accomplished Texas Barber College graduate, who earned her Class A Barber License in 1995 under the guidance of owner Helen Spears.
With her Instructor/Educator License, she has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing barber curriculums for various Barber Colleges in the DFW area.
Moreover, DEE’s expertise extends to tutoring for all Barber and Crossover Programs associated with TDLR. Her commitment to the barber profession is evident through her active participation as a member of the Barber Subject Matter Expert Committee in Austin, Texas, and her current role as the Secretary of the Prime Lady Barber Association.

Meet DINO, a highly skilled barber and esteemed salon owner, boasting an impressive 30 years of experience.
As a master barber, Dino’s expertise spans all hair textures and ethnicities, honed during his education at Langston Barber College in 1980. A trailblazer, he was the first African-American student to attend the predominantly Caucasian college in Lansing, Michigan, where he primarily served Caucasian clients.
Having completed a combined 2000 hours of training and graduating as the top student from both schools, Dino earned his coveted State of Michigan barber license.
Throughout his illustrious career, Dino has had the privilege of serving high-profile clients, including Magic Johnson, Harlem Globetrotters, Larry Brown, and NFL players.

Meet Alix Moore, a licensed cosmetologist with an impressive 37-year journey in the hair extension industry. Her story began when she encountered poor quality hair extensions, prompting her to seek a solution. This led her to India, where she started importing and manufacturing human hair by hand, making her the first black-owned business to do so. Her custom-made extensions quickly gained popularity, catching the attention of Hollywood celebrities.
As demand grew, Alix embarked on a mission to streamline the manufacturing process. She traveled to Korea to learn machine-based hair production, then trained Indian factories and introduced the first 3-head machine to India in 1998. Eventually, she owned three Indian factories and extended her expertise to other businesses in India and China.
Recognizing the need for American business owners to learn manufacturing techniques, Alix began training others to make their own hair extensions. Moreover, she acknowledged the significance of improving business selling strategies and took it upon herself to learn digital marketing, video editing, and website building, gaining better control of her business.
Today, Alix’s passion extends beyond her own enterprise. She helps entrepreneurs worldwide launch their hair extension businesses. Her ultimate dream is to create American manufacturers and educated distributors of hair extensions, with a special focus on empowering the youth. Alix Moore’s journey exemplifies determination, hard work, and adaptability—a testament to the power of constant learning and embracing change.
Meet Isiko Muhammad El, a talented radio, television, and film producer with over 3 decades of experience. His creative vision and technical expertise have made a significant impact in the industry by focusing on trendsetting moves with like-minded people.
Starting as the son of a gigging and radio Whitelabel DJ (and therefore grew up being exposed to music from all over the world) from the Disco era on into the 1980s’ Funk and R&B, Isiko quickly picked up on the differences in sound and production qualities and began exploring sound engineering and music production for the children of these genres – Hip Hop and Neosoul.
As Isiko witnessed the crack cocaine and heroin epidemic of the 1980s and 1990s decimate the landscape around him, Isiko studied scriptwriting and production management to candidly tell these stories in a tasteful tactful style earning recognition for captivating storytelling and high-quality content.
In addition to radio, Isiko ventured into television and film, excelling in every aspect from pre-production to post-production and delivery, ensuring seamless storytelling and cinematic excellence streamed to your pockets and living rooms. Collaborating with diverse teams, Isiko fosters a collaborative atmosphere, earning respect within the industry..
